Yesterday was the first Official Nitro war.
I was there a few games, and I had a great time.
Next week there will be a second war!
Hopefully they will be an even bigger success than yesterdays event!

The time has finally come. Reaver has finished the Nitro mod!

The IRC on our new box will not work because of some technical detail.
Again, Filak comes with the solution, and has offered me to make channels on his Reborn Gamers IRC.
This is the IRC we will be using for as long as we can.
Before you join, please take note to this:
I don't mind words like dick, fuck, shit, tits and all that go in the same category.
But this is not the same for Reborn Gamers.
Rules are different there, and since we are a guest there, we should behave as such.
Want to talk dirty? Do it in channels wearing the Renz0r Gaming tag.
Keep it nice and friendly, and most of all swear free in any other channels you might find there.
Will one of us be banned there for bad attitude, all I can do ride up to Filak's leg and beg him.
But since that is what I do all day, Filak has grown immune to it's effect
In other words, I can't help you then, so please prevent such a situation.

TS:
The subdomain for our TS still doesn't work, so for now we need to connect to the IP.
The IP I set (with the help of filak) for our TS is:
206.212.248.102
Given the subdomain thing gets straightened out, the subdomains will remain:
ts.renz0r.net
ts.renz0r-gaming.com
Eventually these should be working again.
For now, use the IP.
That's right ladies, we are moving.
We were renting at i3d.net for about 2,5 years now, but I have had enough of these bastards.
I will explain what happened briefly:
They are a bunch of assholes. There you have it.
Haha, ok I'll explain a little more.
For over the past year we experienced weird lag with the server, and we have had one actual hack attack, which they noticed too.
Some techguy of theirs went and had a look and marked the server as clean.
In the time between October 2007 and October 2008 I made various complains about lag, and have often said that I think the server was being hacked.
It had cost me 25 Euros for extra bandwidth usage before, and now they were charging me with 60 Euros for extra bandwidth!
All they replied was with shit about that it's possible but they don't think it is being hacked.
After almost a complete year, we found out we WERE being hacked.
Well, we... Reaver's brother, who found out just about everything, fram which file to when it was activated.
It was put on the box when the techguy said the server was clean, and activated a day after, when it caused a crash.
I showed them the full and thorough report that Reaver's brother made, and they said; ah yeah, you're right. You were being hacked.
Well, if you purchase the i3d advanced care (costs large amount of money every month) we'll drop the bandwidth invoice, and than we'll remove the hack.
I did not take lightly on that, and sought my rights through legal ways.
Good thing I saved ALL the emails. All outgoing, all incoming.
With these, I had a strong case, cause I could prove year/month/day/time (in seconds!) when the emails were sent/received.
I presented this to them and told them I had a strong case.
All of a sudden nothing was charged for a reinstall, and they stopped forcing me to pay money for all the services which in my opinion should be free.
But the reinstall was a sloppy one at best.
No, wait, I need not spare them; it was a crappy one, that's what it is!
Nothing worked well anymore, nothing!
Nitro kept crashing, brenbots don't work properly, etc.
Turns out a lot of things were not installed, like directx 9, and so on.
Reaver discovered that. Probably alot was not installed.
They just shuffed a disk or drive in there, formatted and installed windows, and than declared the problem solved.
I looked for a new host and found one.
A better one! JetNet, the people who host this website.
And their service surpasses i3d by a million gigs, sort of speak.
At Christmas, the box crashed at i3d.
It took them 5 days before anyone restarted it.
5 freaking days. It is just a reminder why I want nothing to do with them anymore.
i3d costumer service is very poor.
They want to make money out of services they should hand out for free.
For now, the server is still online in Holland, but officially it shouldn't.
Who knows, it might take them equaly as long to deactivate it, as it takes them to provide service.
If not, it proves my point even more that they can't find time to go to a server and provide service, but they can go to a server when the bills aren't being payed no more.
We already have the new server up and running.
But not all is installed. It took me a while to get all programs installed.
Which reminds me; Reaver, check for directx please 8O.
The only thing that runs on it now from renz0r is the TS.
IRC has yet to be installed, which Filak will do as soon as he has time.
Hopefully this will be tonight.
The subdomains for TS and IRC have already been switched to the new IP. The new IPs are: 206.212.248.98 to 206.212.248.102
The server ports will remain the same.
If you want to connect to TS now, but find yourself unable to do so, use the first IP and you will join it.
As soon as IRC is running on it, we'll have the bots and servers up again.
It will be a bit laggier for the EU and UK people.
But for CA and USA it is going to be a big improvement.

A lot has happened for me in 2008. Lots of good, lot's of bad too.
But I am still here, and I still plan on paying most of the bills.
